Is Deepika's new ad campaign a copied version of a Russian magazine cover or just the brand's signature pose?

Deepika Padukone raised the temperature with her recent photo shoot for L'Oreal's matte red lipstick collection. The first picture of the ad campaign was released early in January and months later, we finally got to see the final ad. It shows the gorgeous 32-year old dressed in a wine-red outfit, wearing matte red lipstick in the same shade. Deepika is seen holding a lipstick and posing to apply it on the male model, Aurélien Muller. Everything is sexy, gorgeous and alluring about Deepika Padukone’s L’Oreal Paris shoot.

However, the actress soon received a lot of hate and harsh statements for the shoot. This happened because a popular Instagram page named Diet Sabya which is known for calling out rip-offs in the fashion industry shared a picture from Deepika Padukone’s photoshoot, side by side with the cover of Allure Russia magazine from 2013 calling it a copied version of the magazine. The magazine featured supermodel Irina Shayk.

This one upload made the internet go crazy and people from all over started passing judgments and sympathies for Deepika.Numerous fan accounts counter attacked the argument by saying that this is L'Oreal's signature pose and that they have done this same ad campaign with serval international models as well. We, later found out that this was not a copied version of model Irina Shayk's shoot and similar campaigns have already been done by L'Oreal. Have a look!

We only feel bad for Deepika Padukone in this case, who has to face the brunt of hazardous copy act as she is the face of a brand even when it's not a rip off of a magazine cover. The actress has always been a trendsetter and cannot be reduced to rip-off artists!
