The Royal family members The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, keeping up their yearly routine of attending the Wimbledon, watched it this year too together with Kate's sister Pippa Middleton in attendance. The Duchesses cheered for Serena William and Simona Halep. For the unversed, Serena is a good friend of Meghan. For the match, Kate arrived an hour in advance to just to meet the junior players named Kamilla Bartone, Oksana Selekmeteva, Polina Kudermetova and Giulia Morlet ahead of the Women's Final on day twelve of the 2019 Wimbledon Championships. For the Finals, Kate dolled up in a green Dolce & Gabbana dress, while Meghan wore a white button-down shirt with a white and blue pleated skirt. Pippa split the difference color-wise with a blue and white floral dress.
Keeping all aside, the highlight of the match was Kate's and Meghan's bonding with each other. It remained significant since rumours of bitterness in the Royal family have been doing the rounds frequently.
The Duchess of Cambridge who serves as a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis And Croquet Club (AELTC), which is responsible for running Wimbledon, visited on the second day of the tournament too.
