Parisian chic and Mumbai slick blended beautifully at Gauri Khan Designs in Juhu as Gauri Khan, French Consul General Sonia Barbry, Caroline Biros and Raj Anand of Maison & Objet invited you to a cocktail soiree to celebrate 25 years of Maison & Objet, Paris, the international show for creative lifestyle and audacious interior design.
Luxury drinks and tasty hors d’oeuvres did the rounds as guests rambled across the store and witnessed a creative blend of materials, crafts, art and avant garde designs by Ashiesh Shah, Amrish Patel & Darshan Soni, Little Shilpa, Rooshad Shroff, Shitij Dogra and Bandana Jain who presented a curtain-raiser of their upcoming collections.
Event partners Pritesh Modi and Akshay Adhalrao of Vita Moderna, Yogesh Chaudhary of Jaipur Rugs and Vivek Talwar of Nitco Tiles also displayed a few unique pieces. As part of this showcase was a chandelier of French designer Regis Mathieu who proved that he is a master of blending materials and art. So was the work of the master embroider Jean-Francois Lesage.
Promoting new contacts and international talent, the twice-yearly Maison & Objet fair presents the latest sources of inspiration. Gauri Khan visits this show on a regular basis as she feels that it gives a 360 degrees view of the latest in home decor and design and since she finds the aesthetics of the show to be quite impressive.
