Lakme Fashion Week joins forces with FDCI to form a ‘COVID-19 Support Fund’ for the fashion community during Corona Pandemic

With the wrath of the COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus raging like a wildfire, the fashion industry, amongst many others, has come to a standstill. Owing to public safety, many ace designers have shut down their workshops and stores for an indefinite period of time.

In tough times like these, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) along with the Lakme Fashion Week has taken a lead to set up a COVID-19 Support Fund that will provide financial assistance to the fashion industry as a whole. “A delightful outcome of a healthy discussion - Lakme Fashion Week joins hands with the FDCI to help the design fraternity during these testing times. The COVID-19 Support Fund with the help of our sponsors, eminent designers, and corporate houses will enable the style world to cope with the devastation, the pandemic has wrecked. #InThisTogether”, their statement read.
