COVID-19: Revered Italian shoe-designer Sergio Rossi dies of coronavirus at 84

The COVID-19 global pandemic has put over a million people around the world under the scope. 

One such special case was that of the much-loved Italian shoe-designer, Sergio Rossi, who lost the battle of life fighting the coronavirus at the age of 84.

In a statement released by the designer's official Instagram, "Sergio Rossi was a master, and it is my great honor to have met him and gotten to present him the archive earlier this year. His vision and approach will remain our guide in the growth of the brand and the business... Our long and glorious history started from his incredible vision and we’ll remember his creativity forever."

Renowned as a ground-breaking shoe designer, Rossi was popular among various high-end models and celebrities including Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.
