Hollywood stylist Elizabeth Stewart in association with the E-commerce website E-Bay has launched an online charity auction to aid frontline workers in the battle against COVID-19 Pandemic.
Called as ‘Chic Relief’, the charity auction will feature big fashion labels such as Ralph& Russo, Louis Vuttion, Georges Hobeika, Azzi & Osta, Givenchy, and Christian Siriano, amongst many others. This digital auction has already begun on May 17 and will continue till May 27, 2020, on its website.
When asked about this collaboration, Stewart said that she wanted to do her bit for the frontline workers amidst this ongoing crisis. “I really wanted to do something to help front-line workers get the basic protection needed to combat this virus. Through this special eBay fashion event, 100 percent of proceeds will directly benefit Direct Relief, which is incredible. They are doing really important work right now coordinating with public health authorities, nonprofit organizations and businesses in the U.S. and globally to provide [personal protective equipment] and essential medical items to health workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic,” she said, as mentioned by an online website, Women's Wear Daily.
This auction will feature Beyonce’s Mirco Giovannini mesh gown, JLo’s hot pink George Chakra’s gown from 2018 American Music Awards and Cardi B’s Yousef Aljasmi catsuit amongst many others. All proceeds from the auction would benefit the efforts of Direct Relief in the battle against this global pandemic.
