Roll up the red carpet! MET Gala 2020 is officially canceled

COVID-19 has vastly disrupted the calendar events of the industry. After months of speculation, the MET Museum officially announced that they will not be hosting the prestigious gala this year.

The costume institute's exhibit on the theme 'About Time: Fashion and Duration' will still be held post-October 29 but the gala and other events are called off for this year.

As reports suggested, a spokeswoman for the Met mentioned that the 2021 gala will be focused on next year’s Costume Institute exhibition, which has not yet been announced. The gala, hosted in association with Louis Vuitton and Conde Nast, was initially postponed indefinitely because of the pandemic outbreak, but will now take place in 2021.

Time to start looking forward to the first Monday of next May; what are your thoughts?
