Oops! Diet Prada calls out jewelry brand Tanishq for its aesthetically ripped-off campaign picture inspired by designer Arpita Mehta

Popularly known as Indian fashion’s vigilante, the anonymous Diet Sabya has called out many high-end fashion labels and designers alike for plagiarism and ripped-off gandi copies to date. Looks like there’s an addition to this long list as the jewelry brand Tanishq came under the radar of this fashion police, recently.

In one of the pictures from the jewelry brand’s new ad campaign, Aarambh, a model was spotted posing in a vibrant ruffled outfit with desert and clear skies serving as a perfect backdrop. However, one might sense a feeling of ‘déjà vu’ going on as this picture from the shoot bears an uncanny resemblance to a picture from designer Arpita Mehta’s SS19 collection campaign. Right from their picturesque background to their poses and outfits, one might find these pictures strikingly similar!

Diet Sabya shared the post on its social media space and called out the brand for its aesthetic gandi copy. Moments after the post, the internet was split into two. Some called out the jewelry brand for showing everything else but the ‘jewelry’, while others defended it saying desert shots are pretty common.

Coincidence or a gandi copy... What’s your take on this?
