After a lot of hype and anticipation, Selena Gomez’s Rare beauty hit the market yesterday, on September 3, 2020. Debuting with makeup items spanning across 14 categories ranging from lipsticks to primers and concealers, these products are available on Rare Beauty’s official site as well as the stores of Sephora.
The formulas used behind the making of this beauty line were airy and breathable that were meant for everyday wear and felt effortless on the skin, without masking one’s natural beauty.
Along with a stunning range of 48-shade concealers, the beauty line includes illuminating primers, Liquid Lumnizer, Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner, Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation, Blot & Glow Touch-Up Kit, Lip Souffle Matte Lip Cream and Dewy Lip Balm, amongst many others.
As earlier reported, Gomez has also introduced a Mental Health initiative, Rare Impact Fund that aims with an effort to raise $100 million for mental health services for underserved communities over the next 10 years. One percent of the proceeds of the annual sale along with funds from partners would be donated to this fund for a noble cause. Apart from the fund, the brand has also created a Rare Beauty Mental health council to guide and advise the company to create a maximum impact.
The official launch of Rare beauty makes Selena another pop star to have her own makeup line after Rihanna, Camila Cabello and Jennifer Lopez.
