Zomato issues an apology after its delivery person breaks beauty influencer Hitesha Chandranee’s nose

In a horrific incident, beauty blogger Hitesha Chandranee was attacked by a Zomato delivery guy, on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. This incident took place in Banglore due to a heated argument over delayed food. In order to explain her ordeal, Hitesha shared a video on her social media account wherein she was seen with a broken as well as a bleeding nose.

In the video, Hitesha explained that the unfortunate incident took place after she complained to Zomato’s customer care due to a delay in her order. After the delivery guy came home with her food, she asked him to wait till she spoke to the customer care helpline regarding the compensation of delayed order. The blogger mentioned that the delivery guy was very rude so she tried to block him out by shutting the door. However, the person barged into her house and snatched away the order before punching her nose. In her second video, Hitesha was seen with a bandaged nose wherein she informed that the X-rays suggested that her nose has been broken and she would need surgery to fix it. She further asked many people to share this video as much as possible in order to reach Zomato which finally did.

Owing to this whole fiasco, the company issued an apology stating that ‘this is not the experience that their delivery universe stands for.’ “Our local representative shall be in touch with you shortly to help you with the police investigation along with assistance on the medical care required. We can't emphasize how sorry we are, rest assured we'll take necessary actions to prevent such incidents from happening in the future," and that the brand would help her in the police investigation,” it concluded.
