Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gvasalia never fails to leave us speechless and he did that yet again with the new stunning winter 21 pre-collection. The brand launched its collection lookbook with the models posing against a blank background which was later photoshopped with various monuments from across the world. Shot by Patrick Welde, the collection lookbook looked promising, with all the pieces looking absolutely stunning.
But the one piece that caught our attention was the Goth version of Princess Diana’s wedding gown. In an article with Vogue, Gvasalia revealed that one of the looks, a black, full-length, balloon-sleeved coat, with simple yet intricate lace detailing was inspired by the shape of Princess Diana's wedding dress. The gorgeous icon had worn a voluminous and elegant David Emanuel wedding dress.
“So, if you've ever wanted to feel like royalty with an edge, this coat is for you,” Gvasalia told Vogue.
