Yami Gautam made for a gorgeous bride at her traditional Himachali-style intimate wedding with director Aditya Dhar. The two tied the knot in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, on June 4 with only family members in attendance. For the hush-hush wedding, Yami opted for a pretty crimson saree. Well, if you must be wondering which celebrity designer curated her look, then here is a surprise.
Ditching expensive designer wedding trousseau, Yami chose to wear her mother's crimson silk saree. Not just this, the actress did her own makeup for the strictly private ceremony. She paid homage to her Himachal Pradesh roots by wearing a pahadi nath, maang tika and choker.
Post the wedding, Yami was seen in a green saree and teamed it up with ath and dejhoor, traditionally worn by Hindu Kashmiri Pandit women. The actress was hailed for her wedding look and fans called her the most real, raw and beautiful bride.
Recently, Gitesh Sharma of Royal Caterers and Tent Decorators, the wedding planner, revealed that Yami's father called him just a day before the pre-wedding festivities began. He further shared that Yami and Aditya didn't want a glamorous ceremony and exchanged vows in front of a deodhar tree.
