From gender-bender Harry Style’s beauty foray to Daniel Lee’s successor at Bottega Veneta, it’s all about the new beginnings in the fashion biz! Check out the news:
HARRY STYLES DEBUTING IN THE BEAUTY BIZ
Joining the entrepreneurial bandwagon, pop sensation Harry Styles made a foray into the beauty biz and announced his brand. Just like his personality, his beauty brand, called Pleasing, blurs the binary boundaries with a gender-neutral collection. Titled ‘Perfect Pearl’, the first drop from Pleasing includes four nail polishes, ‘Pearlescent’- an illuminating primer serum and ‘Pleasing Pen’-a dual-ended eye serum and matte lip oil pen.
When we decided Pleasing would make beauty products I wanted to be sure they were something I would use. I didn't want to make products to mask people, I wanted to highlight them and make them feel beautiful," Harry said.
The beauty line is dropping on November 29 and is available for pre-order starting today.

BOTTEGA VENETA NAMES MATTHIEU BLAZY AS THE NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR
After Daniel Lee’s sudden exit, Bottega Veneta named Matthieu Blazy as its creative director. The parent company of the luxury fashion house Kering found Lee’s successor internally. Matthieu who joined BV under Lee’s time will now lead the creative helm. Prior to this, he was the brand’s ready-to-wear design director and even worked at Calvin Klein until 2019.
Bottega Veneta has always been equated with signature craftsmanship and distinctive creativity. Matthieu’s appointment will further enhance the modern relevance of our brand and accelerate our growth, while preserving the values that are at the core of Bottega Veneta,” Bottega Veneta CEO Leo Rongone said in his statement.
“The very solid foundations, specific codes and unique identity of Bottega Veneta enable us to nurture great ambitions for the future of this luxury House. I am confident that Matthieu Blazy’s wealth of experience and broad cultural background will allow him to bring his creative impetus to the task of carrying on the legacy of Bottega Veneta,” Kering's Chairman and CEO, François-Henri Pinault, added.
Blazy’s first collection will be displayed in February 2022.
