Luxury label Oscar de la Renta joined hands with resale platform Encore to launch an online auction that will benefit UNICEF’s continued efforts to aid Ukraine. On the auction block? The very beautiful dress worn by Sarah Jessica Parker for And Just Like That…’s premiere night, last December!
The dress, custom-crafted in the fashion house’s NYC atelier was curated from pewter silk chiffon adorned with magnolia hand embroidery and a blush tulle underskirt detailing.
The designer brand shared the same on its social media handle along with the note from none other than SJP. “It was a privilege to wear this dress to the And Just Like That… premiere last December, and I’m humbled and honored to partner with my friends at Oscar de la Renta to now auction it off via Encore ll proceeds of the sale will be donated to UNICEF, an organization I feel called to support now more than ever given current geopolitical conflicts and the immediate and growing threats posed to so many innocent children. It feels meaningful to bid adieu to the dress this way, and I look forward to seeing what closet she calls home next,” read the caption.
The auction, which opened at $5,000 USD, ends on Thursday, March 31 at 9 p.m. EST on Oscar de la Renta’s website.
