Here’s looking at you, Sonakshi Sinha!

Yes, Sonakshi Sinha is an actor. But she is also an artist, meaning she can draw and paint and do that in her very own inimitable style. You saw a glimpse of this as the stylish star, who has founded the art venture House of Creativity with brothers Luv and Kussh, hosted the VIP vernissage of their inaugural exhibition, Locus of Control, at BMW Infinity Cars in Worli.

It all began last year, in the midst of the pandemic, when the Sinha siblings decided to launch their art venture, an online platform that allows art aficionados, from virtually anywhere, to procure contemporary artworks from homegrown Indian talents. With the virus gone dormant and restrictions relaxed, it was time to showcase their very first offline foray, an exclusive exhibition, curated by Abhinit Khanna, assisted by Anushka Bhatnagar, driven by BMW Infinity Cars. The exhibition featured select works across paintings, photography, film, textile and new media by contemporary House of Creativity artists.

On view was a showcase by young, contemporary artists Ali Akbar Mehta, Arvind Sundar, Digbijayee Khatua, Govinda Sah Azad, Koshy Brahmatmaj, Kedar DK, Sarika Mehta, Shalaka Patil, Urvi Sethna and Tushar Waghela. Of course, you could not miss the pop-art style works by Sonakshi Sinha whose eyes (one of her prominent features) looking at you and still not in-your-face in her paintings. There were also photographs by Luv and Kussh Sinha.

It turned out to be a pleasant wine-and-cheese (and more!) affair with the likes of Harsh Goenka, Parvez Damania, Brinda Miller, Arzan Khambatta, Charan Sharma, Nimisha Sharma, Ajaykaant Ruia, Vipta Kapadia, Raell Padamsee and Ami Patel among others.
