Whilst acing the jury duty, Deepika Padukone has been also serving us the dose of glamour on and off the red carpet of the 75th Cannes Film Festival 2022. From her striped Sabyasachi drape to her custom Louis Vuitton looks, the actress has been upping the ante as well as the grandeur of the gala with each passing look and her latest look was no different either.
Giving her go-to Sabya and LV looks a miss, the diva painted the French Riviera in sunset hues dressed in a custom Ashi Studio gown. Her billowy statement sleeve was transformed into an elongated train adding to the drama of her sleek orange outfit.
We definitely loved DP’s sartorial choice for her fourth red carpet look, however, there was just one problem with it. Undoubtedly, the photo op of this look was nothing less than a dream, however, the reality was somewhat different. Deepika had a tough time on the red carpet posing for the paps as she floundered with her ‘larger-than-life’ gown while posing for the pictures. The same elongated, drama-inducing train was constantly coming in her way and the actress had to literally pick up and put it behind her, each time she walked ahead.
While some lauded the actress for carrying herself with grace and panache, others questioned the comfort and practicality of her outfit. ‘Can we appreciate the fact that she single-handedly carried the entire outfit??,” read a comment, ‘what's the point of wearing such dresses,’ replied another. Well, what's your take on it?
