Ex-stylist Law Roach makes his modelling debut with Boss’ F/W23 collection, recalls the time when 'nobody wanted to touch' him or Zendaya

A day after his retirement decision, ex-celebrity stylist Law Roach made his modelling debut with Boss’ F/W23 runway show on March 15. While some exclaimed this to be the shortest retirement ever, it seems like Roach has some other plans in mind. "I'm not saying I'm retiring from fashion. I love fashion. I love the businesses, and I love being creative. What I'm retiring from is the celebrity styling part of it- the being in service and at service of other people," he said in an interview with Vogue, moments after the show.

While his styling career may have come to an end, his long-standing relationship with Zendaya has not. Roach clarified this with a series of tweets saying that he and Zendaya are forever.

And we believe it too! In his recent interview with The Cut, Roach recalled the time when they both joined the industry and struggled to receive recognition in their respective careers. He said that they made a pact to help elevate each other by doing their part. "The way that we came into the industry, nobody wanted to touch either one of us. Like nobody wanted to lend me clothes. Nobody wanted to dress her because, at that time, Disney girls weren't considered real actresses," Roach said. "So we pinkie swore to each other that I would do my part. She would do her part. And we would do it together," he concluded.

The image architect, responsible for the impeccable style of Hollywood’s bigwigs has been a part of controversial conversations lately. Recently, he opened up on the sample-sized controversy that happened with our very own Priyanka Chopra Jonas. “It was a little bit hurtful in a way that it ended up in the press, you know? Because that wasn't the real conversation. I've never had that conversation with her, ever. So again, it is her gatekeepers (agents), how they presented what I said to her to make her feel that way. And if that made her feel bad, that wasn't - it was taken out of context,” he said to The Cut.

Styling or not, this is definitely not the end of Roach’s fashion career and we would definitely see more of him in the future, one way or another.
