Not just her 'every day', Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s fashion escapades are equally phenomenal! The actress, known to make a powerful sartorial statement each time she makes an appearance has stunned everyone with her recent Dior and NMACC gala appearances.
But that’s not what we are talking about today. Making herself relevant in fashion history for years to come, Sonam has now been directly linked to Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s ‘India in Fashion’ exhibition. How? We are glad you asked!
Sonam’s bridal lehenga curated by designer Anuradha Vakil is now a part of NMACC’s fashion exhibit. The vibrant red lehenga, blouse and veil, featured a hand-woven fabric made in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh and was embroidered using the Kalabattu technique with real gold and silver threads. This six-months-into-the-making masterpiece costed around 70-90 lakh.
This piece of art stands tall in the exhibit along with the works of many renowned Indian and international designers.
Sonam doing what she does best- creating history, quite literally!
