Debutante Esha Gupta took the French Riviera by a sartorial storm as she descended on the red carpet of the 76th edition Cannes Film Festival looking like a modern-day princess. The diva, who chose a delicate, yet femme fatale look in a Nicolas Jebran gown recalled the time when she was nervous about walking the red carpet.
Esha was nervous praying that nothing would go wrong on the red carpet with her outfit. “It was a risk. When we were doing this Nicolas Jebran gown, we knew that it was sexy but it was also a conscious thought to make it look angelic. If you see the gown, it is white and has 3D flowers and its flowy (silhouette) make it dreamy. I’ve to give credit to my stylist, Victor Blanco," she told to News 18 in an exclusive conversation.

Esha turned out to be one of the best-dressed celebrities of the night, however, this wasn’t her first choice of OOTN for the gala. The actress revealed that she wanted to explore other options as she wanted something ‘more dramatic’ for the soiree. Although, she loved how her look turned out on the red carpet. “It was surreal. I was so nervous even though I had my team and Victor, who’s my person, with me. My stomach was upset. I wasn’t just representing ‘Esha Gupta’ but since I went with the official delegation, I was representing Indian cinema. I was stressed out and hoping that nothing goes wrong on the red carpet," she concluded.
