Brad Pitt warned Harvey Weinstein and threatened to kill him, reveals then girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow

More skeletons tumbling out of Harvey Weinstein’s closet… Gwyneth Paltrow, who had previously accused the former movie mogul of sexual harassment, now shares more details. Speaking on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show, Gwyneth, 45, opened up about her alleged experience with Weinstein, who has been accused by over 60 women of various forms of sexual assault and misconduct.

Recounting the incident which occurred during the early phase of her career, Gwyneth revealed what happened during the incident in a hotel room, where Weinstein tried to make a pass at her. She states that Weinstein asked her to give him a massage while they were meeting to film a movie they were working on together. Gwyneth was 22 when she had been hired by Weinstein to play the lead role in Emma.

According to Paltrow, Weinstein had never behaved inappropriately with her before and the incident came as a shock. Calling it “weird”, she says that she was alone in a room with him and his behaviour came as a complete shock. She adds, “It was out of the blue. I was blindsided. I was shocked.” After she told her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt about the incident, he was furious. Pitt reportedly confronted Weinstein, warning him to never touch Paltrow again.

Speaking to Stern, Gwyneth shared, “I told him right away and I was very shaken by the whole thing. We were at the opening of Hamlet on Broadway. Harvey was there and Brad Pitt — it was like the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically.”
She also said she recalled Pitt tell Weinstein, “If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you’, or something like that.”

After the alleged incident, Weinstein apparently called Paltrow and threatened her not to speak to anyone else about it. She says, “I thought he was going to fire me. He screamed at me for a long time. It was brutal.” The Oscar-winning actress is still grateful for her ex’s actions. “It was so fantastic. He leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn’t have fame or power yet,” she says about Brad.

Weinstein has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex and retaliation.
