It has been an emotional journey for fans and the cast and crew of the hit fantasy show Game of Thrones through the final season. Stars of the show including Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen and Sophie Turner, who essayed the role of Sansa Stark, took to their official Instagrams to pen heartfelt goodbyes and farewells to the show before the finale episode was streamed this Monday morning.
Emilia wrote, “Finding the words to write this post has left me overwhelmed with how much I want to say but how small words feel in comparison to what this show and Dany have meant to me,” She added, “The mother of dragons chapter has taken up the whole of my adult life".
She continued, "This woman has taken up the whole of my heart. I’ve sweated in the blaze of dragon fire, shed many tears at those who left our family early, and wrung my brain dry trying to do Khaleesi and the masterful words, actions (and names) I was given, justice.”
Sophie on the other hand, also shared the same group picture of the entire cast, thanked her character and said, “Sansa, Thank you for teaching me resilience, bravery and what true strength really is. Thank you teaching me to be kind and patient and to lead with love.”
Jacob Anderson, who played Grey Worm, a trusted adviser of Danerys, called his six-year run on the show “the craziest school trip ever" and shared pictures from his first and last day of shoot.
The show's famous illegitimate character Gendry, played by Joe Dempsie, also got the chance to say goodbye.
Nikolaj-Coster Valdua, who played Jamie Lannister also shared a video, thanking fans for watching the show.
