The season 2 premiere of Big Little Lies went down on HBO last night and I have two words for you: Meryl Streep. Like, obviously, we all should have been prepared for Meryl stealing every scene she’s in, but the Oscar-winning actress took things to a new level of iconic as Perry Wright' s mom, and fans simply cannot deal.
For the unversed, Meryl plays Mary Louise, who arrives in Monterey from San Francisco with the intent of helping Nicole Kidman’s character cope with her kids in the wake of Perry’s death. The thing is, Mary Louise clearly has a motive, to find out what really happened to her son on the night he died. Even the show's rating have gone up with the addition of the legendary actress.
