Deadpool 2 villain Josh Brolin wants his character Cable to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

It seems Josh Brolin can't get enough of the MCU, as he now wants cybernetic soldier Cable to cross over into the shared universe. He portrayed the gauntlet-wielding villain Thanos in a number of films, ending with this year's Avengers: Endgame and debuted as Cable alongside Ryan Reynolds in 2018's R-rated Deadpool 2.

Just like Captain America star Chris Evans before him, who played the Human Torch in 2005's Fantastic Four - Josh is looking to appear as two different characters from the Marvel comics. With the Disney and Fox merger now solidified, the MCU has been blown wide open for superheroes of all shapes and sizes to meet each other on the big screen.

Making an appearance at the ACE Comic-Con Seattle recently, Josh admitted that he's actually been chasing Marvel over Cable's situation. "I don't know what's going to happen," he said. "I'm actually, I've been calling them, like, 'What's the deal with Cable, man?' Seriously, 100% serious. They're figuring it out.

Josh added, "It's a big world now, it just got much, much bigger. So who knows". With the MCU's Phase 4 on the horizon, we're hoping new and interesting collaborations will reach us sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, fans of Brolin will be excited to hear that the Oscar nominee will show up in the Dube reboot, reuniting with Sicario director Denis Villeneuve. This one will hit cinemas on November 20, 2020.
