Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner calling 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' 'real' and 'unscripted' leaves audience at Emmys 2019 in splits

The Kardashian sisters, Kim, Khloé, Kylie and Kendall need no introduction in the pop culture and television reality show industry. The sisters, although enjoy a great amount of popularity through their show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, unfortunately, received a rather unexpected and harsh response during the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Kim and Kendall, who were on the stage to announce the Competition Program award were mocked for calling Keeping Up With The Kardashians 'real' and 'unscripted'. The video of the Kardashian sisters' speech went viral on the social media platform.

In the video, Kim can be heard beginning her speech by saying, “Our family knows first-hand how truly compelling television comes from real people just being themselves, telling their stories, unfiltered and unscripted." Soon, the audience burst out into peals of laughter, leaving the sisters into an awkward zone.

Soon after, Twitter began its meme fest, mocking the sisters even more. While one user wrote, "Eeeek. There was a very loud laugh from the audience when Kim Kardashian was presenting. Laughing at her; not with her. It was uncomfortable (and, in my opinion, uncalled for) in the room. #Emmys" while the other termed it to be the biggest joke of the century.

Speaking of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the series is in its 17th season and is airing on E! The show first premiered in October 2007 and stands tall amongst the most popular and longest-running show.
