A while ago, rumours were rife that Martin Scorsese is gearing up for the sixth time collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio. While the dust has still barely settled after the filmmaker's recent outing The Irishman, reports suggested that he has already begun working on his next project. And after much speculation, the makers finally announced the venture on Thursday. Based on the novel Killers Of The Flower Moon by David Grann, the film will star Leonardo in the lead and as per reports, Robert De Niro will be joining the cast. Martin, back in 2017, had put forth his thought of adapting the book into a film and even had two actors in mind. Now, after two years, he has finally brought it into execution.
According to reports of an International publication, Martin was in Oklahoma, where Killers of the Flower Moon and did 'preliminary camera tests' for the murder mystery film, which is said to go on floors in March 2020.
Speaking about Killers Of The Flower Moon, the novel is set in the 1920s where members of the Osage tribe in the USA who are murdered under mysterious circumstances. Soon, this sparks off a major FBI investigation involving J. Edgar Hoover.
The makers are yet to announce the release date.
