Netflix on Monday dropped the extended trailer for the upcoming second season of YOU. The trailer finds Penn Badgley’s Joe Goldberg relocating to Los Angeles under a new alias that is of Will and trying to escape his past. However, old habits die hard and he is once again in the throes of obsessive and compulsive love, this time with Victoria Pedretti.
"It's hard to have a fresh start when the past is on your mind," Joe (Penn Badgley) says in the season 2 trailer for You, and he is not referring to the now-dead Beck (Elizabeth Lail). However, it’s Joe’s ex-girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers) who was believed to be dead is back to handle ‘some unfinished business’ with Joe that has him running to the City of Angels.

The trailer shows Joe stalking Love Quinn (Victoria) in the new city and trying to become her friend before their relationship blossoms in something more serious. In fact, in the trailer we see Candace issuing a warning to someone saying, “If he loves you, that's the most dangerous thing,” and the next clip shows Joe standing behind a prison door closing.
Joe will apparently and literally paint the town red as shown in the trailer and we can’t wait to watch what new ghastly turn this season of You unfolds. You season 2 returns to Netflix on December 26
