Marvel Studios gave their fans a major surprise in 2019 by announcing its Phase IV at the theatres with a number of films spread across 2020 and 2021. With Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder releasing in these two years have left the fans excited. Now, kickstarting the Phase IV is Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow. The makers of the film, on Monday, dropped in the official trailer on social media platforms, sending us all into a zone of excitement.
The trailer features Scarlett as Natasha and focuses on her past. She figures out that the Red Room, a top-secret Soviet training program brainwashes young girls, turning them into lethal assassins and spies and the main villain of the film, Taskmaster is responsible for it. Soon, Yelena(Florence Pugh) along with Alexei/The Red Guardian (David Harbour) and Melina (Rachel Weisz) join Natasha to take him down.
As per reports, Black Widow will take place in the two years between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War when the teams reunited to try to defeat Thanos. The film is directed by Cate Shortland and will release in India on April 30, 2020.
