Watch: Julia Roberts’ video about Mother Nature and Planet Earth puts things in perspective during the Coronavirus outbreak

The Coronavirus is wreaking havoc around the world. People are dying left, right and centre. Those who are not infected are asked to keep social distance and remain in self-isolation. People travelling from different countries have been quarantined and now several countries have put a blanket ban travelling. Amidst this pandemic, an old video voiced by Julia Roberts is going viral for narrating a powerful message about the planet Earth. Hearing her words really put things into perspective.

While many of us take things for granted, the planet we live on is the very foundation of life as we know it. Our planet Earth is the only planet in the solar system that can sustain life and due to man’s negligence we seem to be on the verge of an apocalypse. Already several plants and animals have become extinct thanks to the careless poaching, hunting and destruction perpetrated by man. Watch the video here:

In the video, Julia Roberts, Harrison Ford, Edward Norton, Penélope Cruz, Robert Redford and Ian Somerhalder all join forces to give nature a voice. The video is gripping and should be a reality check of how far things have gone. It is high time that we try to maintain our beautiful planet and curtail deforestation and water/food contamination that have a serious and often deadly impact on the quality of life for animals and plants.

We’re sure this coronavirus outbreak is a wakeup call about the way we are exploiting our planet and making Mother Nature angry to no end.
