Hollywood actors Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are expecting their first child together. An international online portal reported that the fiercely private couple has been keeping a low profile during the COVID-19 pandemic and are home quarantining at their home in Los Angeles. The portal reported a source that said Mara, who has recently been spotted wearing baggy clothes to cover her bump, is almost six months pregnant.
However, representatives of 35-year-old actor Mara, and the 45-year-old Oscar winner- Phoenix, have refused to confirm or comment on the rumours. The couple had first met on the sets of Spike Jonze’s film Her but started dating only when they starred in the film Mary Magdalene. In the film, Phoenix played the role of Jesus while Mara was Mary Magdalene. Reportedly, love soon blossomed between the two and they had moved in together to a home in the Hollywood Hills.

Talking about Mara in an interview in October 2019, he had said that he was convinced that she ‘despised’ him but eventually realized that she was interested in him but was too shy to talk about it. He had said, “She’s the only girl I ever looked up on the internet. We were just friends, email friends. I’d never done that. Never looked up a girl online.”
Phoenix and Mara got engaged in July 2019 and their fans are eagerly awaiting the news of their nuptials.
