Nicki Minaj makes a huge statement during 'Trollz' promotions, defends rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine over his decision to be a snitch in order to get a shorter prison sentence!

Nicki Minaj and 6ix9ine connected on Instagram to talk about their new music video Trollz. During their conversation, they called out rappers for being hypocrites and playing both sides of the fence when it came to snitching. Nicki also defended her choice to work with someone who most of the rap industry has major issues with after Tekashi 69 ratted on his fellow gang members in his criminal case.

Nicki addressed the topic of snitch culture and why it's taboo in hip-hop. In her Instagram live with 6ix9ine she revealed the difference between rappers and "street ni**as" and why each needs to play by their own rules. She said, "I feel like street n----s have every right to feel how they wanna feel about snitching because they lived that life. I feel rappers need to play it easy because everybody mingles and integrates with everybody. If a top executive called one of ya'll rappers, y'all signing." However, she confessed that her husband Kenneth Petty, "doesn’t f**k with the snitch culture," and said, "And I respect him because he’s lived a different life."

She further added, “You know, I'm not on the block with 6ix9ine. Me and 6ix9ine is not on the block. We're in the music business. You rappers is in rooms all the time with people with sketchy pasts, and I'm not judging anybody 'cause I'm not doing that. I have nothing but respect for so many of these people, and I would never fix my face to talk crazy about them."

She also accused rappers of having different standards when it comes to hip-hop and the streets. She said, "Y’all wanna talk about people not writing their raps one minute and then do songs with people that don’t write raps the next minute. But if somebody talk about the integrity of hip-hop, then it’s a problem. But y’all can talk about the integrity of the streets and not snitching. Well, we not on the block. None of you ni**as is on the block. Rappers gotta just play it easy because y’all know that y’all bend the rules for certain people.

Earlier in the session, 6ix9ine lambasted Meek Mill, Snoop Dogg and Future for their previous comments on him turning informant. The rapper claimed that Meek affiliated with Roc Nation, executive Desiree Perez who cooperated with the DEA as an informant in the ‘90s. He said, “Meek Mill, you can't pick and choose who you want to call rats. This is public information ... Sir, you know. Ever since Nicki left you, you are a nobody ... Did you forget who you was? I forgot what Drake said, what did Drake say? 'Was that your tour or your girl's tour?”
