Jennifer Aniston's-Jimmy Kimmel's fiery act to Regina King's powerful vote appeal, best moments from Emmy Awards 2020!

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, award ceremonies have been delayed. Amid the ongoing situation, the prestigious Emmy Awards 2020 took place, but virtually. The ceremony that honours the best television shows was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel from an empty Los Angeles theatre. The virtual ceremony left the audience surprised with some of the best moments on the stage.

During the initial phase of the ceremony, Jennifer Aniston and host Jimmy Kimmel set the stage on fire! In a fiery act, the two lit up the winner's envelope inside a bin. Considering the pandemic and the paranoia, Jennifer and Jimmy sanitised the envelope before throwing it into a bin lit with fire.

With nominees in the background, Jimmy hosted the ceremony with cardboard cutouts of celebrities placed in an empty auditorium. Not just this, the quarantine life of celebrities was on record and made for a cute moment to enjoy.

Talking about the winners, Schitt's Creek took home seven major awards on Sunday. HBO's Succession emerged to be an audience favourite. Zendaya became the youngest actress at 24 to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for Euphoria. Watchmen won 4 trophies.

Fans of the iconic show Friends got a major surprise as Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow reunited on the screen for a mini-reunion. Jennifer, who accompanied Jimmy to the stage for the fiery act, swapped her black outfit for a pink one at home.

Amid the pandemic, essential service workers have been risking their lives by stepping out of their homes on a daily basis. Giving the real heroes a chance to be in the limelight, the organisers had a few essential workers to announce the names of winners.

Paying a heartfelt tribute to the celebrities whom we lost recently, Emmy 2020 had a segment that remembered Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg,  Chadwick Boseman, Adam Schlesinger, James Lipton, Fred Willard, Jerry Stiller, Max Von Sydow, Carl Reiner, Kirk Douglas,  Regis Philbin and others.

Regina King, in her acceptance speech on winning Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for Watchmen, said, "Wow, wow, this is so freaking weird. I truly love being a thespian. Thank you Television Academy for choosing me to represent the thespian community." She further added, "Gotta vote. I would be remiss not to mention that, being a part of a show as prescient as Watchmen. Have a voting plan, go to ballotpedia.com, vote up the ballot, please. Go to ballotpedia.com and find out who are voting in your municiapal elections. It is very important. Be a good human"
