Hollywood Update: Isabelle Fuhrman to reprise her role in ‘Orphan’ prequel; Netflix’s ‘You Season 3’ starts production

Hollywood fans are sure to be delighted with the news that is doing the rounds in the circuit. New cast announcements, film sequels and special airings made headlines. Here is a roundup what is keeping the audience elated.

Isabelle Fuhrman to reprise the role of Esther in a new prequel to 2009's Orphan

Isabelle Fuhrman who broke out in Hollywood with her leading role in the horror-drama Orphan is all set to reprise her role of Esther in a new prequel to the 2009 film. Isabelle played an Eastern European child adopted by parents (played by Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga) who are trying to overcome their own personal tragedy. Isabelle’s role of an adult woman with primordial dwarfism masquerading as a nine-year-old and her attempts to split up her adoptive parents and eliminate her siblings made her performance sinister and spine-chilling.

The prequel’s plot is under wraps but Isabelle will return as star and associate producer on the project. William Brent Bell will direct the picture while the script will be penned by David Coggeshall. Dark Castle’s Alex Mace, Hal Sadoff and Ethan Erwin are producing with James Tomlinson. The original film’s screenwriter, David Leslie Johnson, is on board as an executive producer with Jen Gorton. Josie Liang will oversee the movie for Entertainment One which will mount the project.
