The Golden Globes 2021 just concluded a while back and one of the most memorable moments from the glamorous, star-studded award ceremony will be Chadwick Boseman posthumously winning the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Accepting the award for his last performance, his wife Taylor Simone Ledward delivered an emotional speech that left everyone in tears. She said, “He would thank God. He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices. He would thank his incredible team... He would thank his team on-set for this film... He would say something beautiful, something inspiring, something that would amplify that little voice inside of all of us that tells you, you can, that tells you to keep going, that calls you back to what you are meant to be doing at this moment in history.”

She further thanked Chadwick’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom cast and crew and said, “He would thank Mr. George C. Wolfe, Mr. Denzel Washington, Netflix. He would thank Mrs. Viola Davis, Mr. Glynn Turman, Mr. Michael Potts, Mr. Coman Domingo, Miss Taylour Paige, Mr. Dusan Brown. And, I don't have his words but we have to take all the moment to celebrate those we love. So, thank you, HFPA, for this opportunity to do exactly that. And honey, 'You keep 'em coming.' Thank you."
Chadwick’s legacy was celebrated by Russo Brothers, Viola Davis and other celebs at the award ceremony at his posthumous win.
