Liu joins Rachel Zegler, who will appear in a yet-undisclosed role pivotal to the story and Zachary Levi who will be reprising his role playing the kid-at-heart superhero alter ego Shazam.

The film is the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed 2019 film Shazam! and it will continue the story of teenage Billy Batson who upon reciting the magic word ‘Shazam!’ is struck by the Living Lightning of the gods and transformed into the adult superhero. Shazam has the powers of six gods: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury. The film navigates between the formidable superpower and exploits of Shazam and the trials and tribulations of Billy who is still trying to navigate high school.
