There was a lot at stake at that point: Tom Cruise talks about his leaked Covid-19 rant on the sets of Mission: Impossible 7

Tom Cruise recently addressed his coronavirus rant from the sets of Mission: Impossible 7 after it leaked in December and became viral. The actor was heard yelling at his crew members about adhering to Covid-19 safety protocols while shooting for the action film.

According to an online portal, Cruise has now addressed why he felt the need to say what he said in the video He told the outlet, “I said what I said. There was a lot at stake at that point. But it wasn't my entire crew. I had the crew leave the set, and it was just select people."

He further revealed that the filming was never shut down again despite the pandemic and said, “And here we are, continuing to film. All those emotions were going through my mind. And for the whole crew to know that we'd started rolling on a movie was just a huge relief... It was very emotional.”

The leaked audio had Cruise yelling at his crew members for not following social distancing rules and not adhering to Covid-19 protocols. Cruise saw two crew members standing too close to one another in front of a computer screen, so he yelled at them, "If I see you do it again you're f**king gone."
