A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill)

Henry Cavill took to Instagram to confirm his casting in Lionsgate’s reboot of the popular Highlander film. The film is being directed by Chad Stahelski and Kerry Williamson has penned the script. The original 1986 Highlander pic starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown as immortal beings, hunting down one another and collecting more power. The film spawned four sequels and three television series including the most popular USA series starring Adrian Paul in the lead. The film gave the popular catchphrase, “There can be only one.”

While sharing the news, Henry wrote, Very exciting news today! I've been a fan of Highlander since I was lad. From the movies in all of their 80s, Queen slathered glory to the TV show with an actor who looked remarkably like one of my brothers. Being not shy with swords, and having a director as talented as Chad Stahelski at the helm, this is an opportunity like no other. Deep diving into franchise storytelling with all the tools at our disposal, is going to make this an adventure I (and hopefully all of you) shall never forget. And as you can see from the swipe, I've lately been dipping into some of my Scottish heritage, and inadvertently getting my base line research underway! #Highlander.”

Phoebe Dynevor reacts on Rege Jean Page’s exit from Bridgerton

Bridgerton' Season 2 on Netflix: Cast Info, Return Date, Episode News, Spoilers and More

Phoebe Dynevor has spoken about the exit of her co-star Rege Jean Page from Netflix’s beloved series Bridgerton due to plot changes. The news of Page not returning as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings and Phoebe’s husband in the series disappointed many fans. The second season centres around Phoebe’s (Daphne Bridgerton’s) brother, Anthony Bridgerton’s prospect of finding a bride. Talking about her role, Phoebe told an online portal, “I had a bit of a heads up so I knew but yeah, I guess it is a spanner. But again, the show centers around the Bridgertons and there are eight books. I think maybe the fans of the books were more aware of that happening than the fans of the show. I think fans of the books know that every episode is about a different sibling. And we're very much passing the baton to the lovely Johnny, who plays Anthony. Obviously, it's sad to see Page go but I'm looking forward to being reunited with my family. I remember shooting the last scene in episode one where Rege and I have our first dance together. And I remember thinking, wow, this feels kind of special.”
