Unlike 2020's virtual ceremony, the 73rd Emmy Awards took place at the Event Deck at LA Live, an indoor-outdoor venue on Sunday, September 19 (for people in India, September 20 early morning). Celebrating the best of television, the Emmys saw celebrities step out in their fashionable best.
The Crown went on to take home most awards. With 7 wins, the show created a new record. The comedy series Ted Lasso emerged as a popular choice and bagged 4 trophies- 3 acting awards and one for Outstanding Comedy Series. HBO's Mare of Easttown claimed three wins. Talking about the acting honours, Kate Winslet, Josh O Connor and Olivia Colman were among others to bag top awards.
