Several exciting news about new spinoff series are coming from Hollywood. Netflix has given a formal series green light to That ’90s Show, a follow-up to Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner’s hit That ‘70s Show. On the other hand, WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn is in the works and Kiernan Shipka is all set to appear as Sabrina Spellman in Riverdale Season 6. Read on for more details:
‘That ’70s Show’ spinoff ‘That ’90s Show’ with Kurtwood Smith & Debra Jo Rupp ordered by Netflix
Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will anchor a spinoff based on That ‘70s Show titled That 90s Show and will reprise their respective roles as Red Forman and Kitty Forman. They will also executive produce That ‘90s Show alongside its creators, Gregg Mettler , Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner and their daughter Lindsay Turner. The series is set in Wisconsin in 1995 and follows Leia Forman, daughter of Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon),who is visiting her grandparents for the summer and finds a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eyes of Kitty and Red. Topher Grace, Laura Prepon and Ashton Kutcher are expected to make guest appearances reprising their roles. The series has been ordered by Netflix.
Kathryn Hahn to star in WandaVision spinoff
A WandaVision spinoff is in the works at DisneyPlus from Marvel Studios with Kathryn Hahn in the lead. Hahn would reprise her role of Agatha Harkness in the series which is touted to be a dark comedy. Details about the show are kept tightly under wraps. Jac Schaeffer would serve as the writer and executive producer on the project.
Kiernan Shipka to appear as Sabrina Spellman in Riverdale Season 6
Just hours after Season 5 finale of Riverdale, hit the TV screens, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka revealed that she is set to appear as her titular character for Riverdale’s upcoming sixth season. The show will debut in November. The actress shared an image and captioned it, “From Greendale to Riverdale. See u in Season 6.” The photo sees her all dressed up in the quintessentially Sabrina outfit as the sorceress of the popular comic.
