Three of the four stars of the popular HBO series Sex and the City have reunited for a new show that picks up with the same characters roughly two decades later. Titled And Just Like That, the new series, will air on HBO Max and the channel released its official teaser along with the release date last night.
It will star Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis in the roles they made famous during the late 1990s and early 2000s. However, Kim Cattrall is not returning. The WarnerMedia-owned streamer will debut And Just Like That with two episodes on December 9, 2021. The remaining eight episodes will roll out weekly.
The official synopsis of the show read, "A new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series, “Sex and the City,” from executive producer Michael Patrick King. The Series will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s."
The show’s cast also features SATC favorites Chris Noth, Evan Handler, David Eigenberg, Mario Cantone and the late Willie Garson. Grey’s Anatomy alum Sara Ramírez also stars along with Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman.
