‘Can’t a man’s nipple be experienced as erotic,’ says Madonna slamming Instagram for taking down her racy photoshoot

Trust Madonna to call a spade a spade. Not one to mince her words, the pop singer has gone after the photo-sharing app Instagram form taking down some of her photos which apparently it deemed objectionable. The singer reshared a series of pictures from a photoshoot on her bed, in which she wore black lingerie and fishnets and even showed off her nipples. Striking different poses, Madonnna wrote that she was reposting the photographs that “I’m reposting photographs Instagram took down without warning or notification…..”

In the new version, she added a small heart emoji that covered her left breast and did not show the nipple. She further wrote, “The reason they gave my management that does not handle my account was that a small portion of my nipple was exposed. It is still astounding to me that we live in a culture that allows every inch of a woman’s body to be shown except a nipple. As if that is the only part of a woman’s anatomy that could be sexualized. The nipple that nourishes the baby! . Can’t a mans nipple be experienced as erotic ??!!”

She further wrote, “And what about a woman’s ass which is never censored anywhere. Giving thanks that I have managed to maintain my sanity through four decades of censorship…… sexism……ageism and misogyny. Perfectly timed with the lies we have been raised to believe about the pilgrims peacefully breaking bread with the Native American Indians when they landed on Plymouth Rock! God bless America #artistsareheretodisturbthepeace.”

Madonna’s fans took to the comment section to lend their support to her. One called her “queen”, while another wrote, “totally agree”. Someone else commented, “End to the Patriarchy,” while another person added, ‘Exactly, we should be able to show our bodies!”
