Britney Spears reveals why she isn't ready to start making music again, says 'not doing my music anymore is my way of saying fu*k you'

After more than 13 years, a new beginning came along for pop star Britney Spears, who has been living under a restrictive conservatorship since 2008. Spears has been working in show business since childhood, as the 11-year-old star of The All-New Micky Mouse Club. In 2008, her father, Jamie Spears, placed her under the court-ordered arrangement. However, after a long wait, an LA judge terminated the controversial guardianship that controlled her life for the past 13 years, handing back her freedom along with control of a multi-million-dollar estate. The conservatorship terminated effected November 12.

Now, more than a month later, Britney informed her fans in a long Instagram note why she wasn't ready to start making music again. “I guess it seems odd to most why I don’t even do music anymore… People have no idea the awful things they have done to me personally and after what I’ve been through, I’m scared of people and the business!!!,” wrote Brtineywho last performed publicly in October 2018.

“Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying ‘Fu** Y**’ in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work. It’s like I’ve subconsciously let them win," the singer added.

For the unversed, the formal end to the guardianship came after the pop star's father Jamie Spears was removed from his position in charge of her finances and estate at a hearing in September.
