Amazon Studios has picked up Ending Things, an action adventure thriller starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anthony Mackie in the lead. An online portal reported that the screenwriter Kevin Sullivan’s spec script has been picked by Amazon which is described on the lines of James Cameron’s True Lies.
The plot revolves around a hit-woman who wants out of the assassin business and subsequently tells her ‘business’ partner that she wants to end their personal relationship as well. However, when she realises that she doesn’t want to end that part of the bond. Hence, in order to survive the breakup, they join forces for their one last night out to fulfil their last job together.
The thriller’s producing deals are still being worked out. However, Davis Entertainment’s Jeremy Stein and Lit Entertainment will produce with Mackie’s Make It With Gravy Productions and Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire. Priyanka is all set to executive produce the film with her Purple Pebble Pictures banner.
This is going to be Priyanka’s first role with Mackie. She was last seen in The Matrix: Resurrections as Sati, the fourth film in the successful Matrix franchise. She will next be seen in Text For You and has wrapped the shoot for her Amazon series Citadel, a much-anticipated global TV series that comes from the Russo Brothers, the directors of MCU movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
