Filmmaker James Gunn tied the knot with actor Jennifer Holland at a private and intimate ceremony recently. The director took to Instagram to share pictures from their wedding on Friday evening. He also shared that there was a Marvel vs DC softball game as part of the wedding festivities where Michael Rooker played from both teams.
Sharing breathtaking pictures from the wedding ceremony, Gunn who is well-known as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy wrote, “After over 7 years together, I finally married the love of my life, @jenniferlholland. What an incredible, beautiful, stunning day surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends in the world. And, yes, that’s a moose that showed up as the ceremony began! And also, yes, @originalfunko made our wedding cake toppers designed on our actual tux and gown (Jenn wouldn’t let me see them before the wedding because her dress was too perfectly done!) And, yes, we had Sunday fun festivities including a Marvel vs DC softball game (@michael_rooker played on both teams!) Thanks to @eksevents for planning everything!”
James wore a green suit to the wedding while Jennifer wore the traditional white gown. The wedding took place at a ranch and apparently a moose also showed up at the wedding. The cake top was also custom made with the toppers designed on their actual tax and gown.
James and Jennifer have been together since seven years and announced their engagement in February this year. Jennifer starred in Peacemaker, which was written and created by James. They first collaborated on Brightburn in 2019 and also worked together in the 2021 DCEU film The Suicide Squad. James is one of the few directors who has worked on both Marvel and DC films.
