Director Todd Phillips' upcoming film, titled Joker: Folie à Deux, has created the right amount of hype. Amid much fanfare, the film went on floors on December 11. It is headlined by Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

Giving a surprise treat to fans, Todd shared a glimpse of Joaquin's look as Arthur Fleck from Joker: Folie à Deux. He posted a close-up picture of the actor while he was receiving a shave. The caption of the post read, "Day 1. Our boy. #joker"

Joaquin is returning to the role of Joker after winning the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in the 2019 first installment. Lady Gaga is expected to play Harley Quinn. Todd, who is returning to direct the sequel, is also co-writing the screenplay with Scott Silver. 

The musical sequel of Joker will release in theatres on October 24, 2024.
