It wasn’t all pleasant, it’s a silly performance, want to do more dramatic stuff: Dave Bautista expresses relief over saying goodbye to playing Marvel superhero Drax the Destroyer

Former wrestler and actor Dave Bautista has said that he is happy to say goodbye to his Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero Drax the Destroyer that was a part of Guardians of the Galaxy directed by James Gunn and Russo Brothers’ directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Although the actor received several kudos for his portrayal but Drax emerged as a comic relief in the films. This year Dave has bid adieu to the character after six movies in nine years.

During an interview with a magazine, Dave said, “I’m so grateful for Drax. I love him. But there’s a relief (that it’s over). It wasn’t all pleasant. It was hard playing that role. The makeup process was beating me down. And I just don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy — it’s a silly performance, and I want to do more dramatic stuff.”
