Average Height, Average Build: Adam Mckay ropes in Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr, Forest Whitaker and Danielle Deadwyler for his next film

Academy Award winner Adam McKay has roped in an all-star ensemble cast for his next directorial venture. The film titled Average Height, Average Build will star Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr, Forest Whitaker and Danielle Deadwyler. The script and package is out to studios and streamers and the film will supposedly get into production by late summer or early fall.

Average Height, Average Build is being described as part serial killer thriller, part comedy that follows a killer who uses political lobbyists to change laws that will give him more leeway to kill, according to sources. The film will tackle larger sociopolitical ills like crime and corruption.

Robert Pattinson will reportedly play a serial killer who enlists a lobbyist (Amy Adams) to change laws that will allow him to get away with murder more easily. Robert Downey Jr. will be seen in the role of a retired cop who won’t give up on the murders. The film marks a reunion for Amy and McKay who worked together on the Oscar-nominated political satire Vice.

Hyperobject Industries’ McKay and Kevin Messick are producing and the former plans on a late-summer shoot in Boston. The film does not yet have a studio on board to finance or distribute yet and hence it is still not clear whether the film will go for theatrical release on head to a streamer.
