Elemental trailer: Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie bring a star-crossed romance in Disney & Pixar’s fiery and bubbly tale based on venturing out of comfort zone

Disney and Pixar released a new trailer for their upcoming film Elemental. The film takes the audience to an extraordinary place called Element City, where a host of elements live and work with the simple fact that ‘elements don’t mix’. The trailer gives us a glimpse of each element- air, water, earth and fire- and what sets them apart according to Ember, quick-witted and fiery woman (not to mention a fire element) who’s always stayed close to home in Firetown; Elemental showcases the lives of these personified elements.

Ember meets Wade (a water element) who convinces her to venture out of her comfort zone and explore Element City. The trailer shows Ember's realization of her own dreams and what she wants in her life through Wade's help and encouragement. However, it also gives a whiff of being a starcrossed romance between the fire Ember and water Wade.
