The highly anticipated teaser trailer for Warner Bros.’ Barbie has been dropped. Margot Robbie leads the star-studded cast that includes Ryan Gosling as Barbie’s boy toy, Ken. However, the two actors are not the only Barbie and Ken dolls in the film. Along with the trailer, character posters of the cast members have also been unveiled.
Barbie and Ken have been placed in the real world and forced to grapple with the difficulties of no longer being just dolls. Hari Nef, Emma McKey, Dua Lipa, Ana Cruz Kayne, Sharon Rooney, Emerald Fennell, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Nicola Coughlan, Alexandra Shipp, Ritu Arya all play different Barbie in the film.
Besides Ryan, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Scott Evans star as Ken.
On the other hand, humans are also introduced with their character posters that includes Helen Mirren, America Ferrera, Arianna Greenblatt, Will Ferrell,Connor Swindells, Jamie Dermitriou.
Barbie is directed by Greta Gerwig and co-written by the director and her husband, filmmaker Noah Baumbach. Barbie is a co-production by Mattel Films, Heyday Films and Margot and her husband Tom Ackerley’s, LuckyChap Entertainment. Josey McNamara from LuckyChap and Ynon Kreiz from Mattel serve as executive producers.
Barbie will open in theatres on July 21.
