Director Sandeep Modi's Marathi film Chumbak which is backed by Bollywood's superstar Akshay Kumar has been officially selected for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) that is set to take place from August 10 till August 22 under the theme of “Inclusion”. The film, starring renowned lyricist Swanand Kirike, is a story of friendship between a 15-year-old table-cleaning-waiter-boy ‘Baalu’ and his chance encounter with a 45-year-old mentally slow man ‘Prasanna’ that forces him to make a choice between his dreams and morality.
Last night, on July 25, the makers of the film hosted a special screening of the film in Mumbai and many renowned names of the industry made an appearance to support the film.

Political and youth leader of the state, Aditya Thackeray, SonPari fame Mrinal Kulkarni, Bollywood's newest gem Rasika Dugal, Divyendu Sharma Marathi superstar Sai Tamhankar, Sonali Kulkarni, Sumeet Raghavan with his wife Chinamayee Sumeet and their kids attended the screening.
