At a private screening for Mulk, an Anubhav Sinha's directorial, Rishi Kapoor, Taapse Pannu and a few others were present. While Neetu Kapoor went as a plus one to Rishi, it was Taapsee's sister, Shagun Pannu, who accompanied the actress at the screening, and also posed with her for the shutterbugs.

Mulk is based on a real-life story and shows a Muslim family's struggle to re-establish themselves in the country after one of the members becomes a terrorist. Apart from Taapsee and Rishi, the film also features Rajat Kapoor, Neena Gupta and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles.
